Simplify Business Communications with Automated SMS Campaigns Using JustCall Pipedrive Integration

Overview

Pipedrive and JustCall integrate to enable SMS automation workflows. This combination helps agents reduce redundant tasks and focus on leads and customers. The integration allows you to build customized workflows for automated SMS campaigns.

Create an Automated SMS Campaign in JustCall

  1. Navigate to SMS & MMS > SMS Workflows > Pipedrive from your JustCall account sidebar
  2. Complete the Pipedrive integration if not already done; otherwise, you'll reach the campaigns page
  3. Click "Create campaign" button
  4. Assign a campaign name for easy identification and A/B testing
  5. Generate a Webhook URL — you'll need this for subsequent automation steps; select your intended Pipedrive workflow type
  6. Select From Number — choose a JustCall number for sending messages, or enable automation to use each user's default SMS/MMS number
  7. Select Pipedrive account — pick your integrated Pipedrive account for the automation trigger
  8. Set SMS Message — compose your message and personalize using Pipedrive fields:
    • Person Workflow: Person-related fields only
    • Deal Workflow: Deal and Person-related fields
    • Activity Workflow: Activity, Deal, and Person-related fields
  9. Click "Create" and copy the webhook URL for the next phase

Set Up an Automated Webhook in Pipedrive

  1. In Pipedrive, navigate to Tools and apps > Webhooks
  2. Click "+Webhook" then select "Automated webhook"
  3. Name your webhook and paste the JustCall webhook URL in the Endpoint URL field
  4. Click Save

Set Up Automation in Pipedrive to Trigger SMS

  1. Go to Tools and apps > Automations
  2. Click "+Automation" to create new automation
  3. Set up a trigger by selecting "Event trigger"
  4. Select the same object type as your JustCall campaign (Person, Deal, or Activity)
  5. Click "+" to add the next step and select "Action"
  6. Search for and select "Webhook", then click Next
  7. In the following screen, click Next without changes
  8. Configure the webhook:
    • Select your automated webhook
    • Choose POST as the method
    • Select Key-value for the body
    • Set Key as "id"
    • Set Value to match your campaign type:
      • Person ID for Person campaigns
      • Deal ID for Deal campaigns
      • Activity ID for Activity campaigns
  9. Click Apply action
  10. Activate the automation and click Save

Points to Remember

  • SMS automation currently supports triggers based on Person, Deal, and Activity objects only
  • Messages sent through automation don't automatically log in Pipedrive, but replies and incoming responses will be recorded
