ActiveCampaign and JustCall integration overview
JustCall's ActiveCampaign integration syncs contacts, logs every call and SMS, and surfaces AI-powered insights directly in your CRM. This article covers how data flows between the two platforms.

How contact data syncs
Phone field data syncs exactly as it appears in ActiveCampaign:
- Country codes are preserved if present.
- Numbers sync without country codes if absent.
- Formatting (spaces, brackets, hyphens) gets removed.
- Leading zeros remain intact.

How outbound call logging works
JustCall checks Workflow Settings and Connected Numbers first, then follows this logic:
If the number matches a contact's phone field:
- Logs as a Note or Task based on your settings.
- If deal logging is enabled, the call logs against all associated open deals.
If the number does not match any contact:
- With auto-create contacts enabled, a new contact is created and the call is logged.
- With auto-create deals enabled, a deal is also created and linked.
- With both disabled, the call is not logged.
Inbound calls follow the same logic.
How SMS logging works
Number found: Logged as a Note or Task based on your preferences.
Number not found:
- With auto-create contacts enabled, a new contact is created and the SMS is logged.
- With auto-create deals enabled, a deal is also created.
- With both disabled, the SMS is not logged.
Inbound SMS follows identical logic to outbound.
Automatic contact creation
For calls:
- New contacts are created as "New JustCall Contact."
- Optionally add them to a list.
- If "Create a contact as soon as a call arrives" is enabled, the contact is created during the call as "JustCall Contact Oncall."
For SMS:
- New contacts are created as "New JustCall Contact."
- Auto-added to lists if enabled.
Tags
Organize and segment contacts automatically using:
- Call outcome tags applied based on disposition codes
- SMS conversation tags synced from JustCall conversations
- Custom tags applied based on activity type
Click-to-call support
ActiveCampaign does not have a native dialer. JustCall provides Click-to-Call and Click-to-Device functionality through the Chrome extension.
AI data logging
JustCall AI enhances ActiveCampaign logs with insights approximately 20 minutes after calls end:
