HubSpot SMS Automation with JustCall Setup Guide
Overview
JustCall enables you to send text messages automatically or conditionally through HubSpot workflows for both contact and deal-based scenarios. Two methods exist for integrating SMS into HubSpot workflows.
Method 1: Using JustCall Actions
Setup Steps

Prerequisites: Ensure JustCall is integrated with your HubSpot account.

Create Workflow: Access HubSpot and create a new workflow or open an existing one.

Add Action: Click the plus (+) sign where you want to add the SMS action.

Select JustCall Action: Search for "JustCall" in the actions window. Choose between:
- "Send SMS as HubSpot Contact Owner" - messages send from the contact owner's JustCall number
- "Send a text message" - messages send from a single JustCall number

Configure Fields:
- To Number: Use Contact Token to select the field containing the recipient's phone number
- Contents: Enter message text; personalize using Contact Token for contact properties
- From Number: Select your JustCall sending number
- Contact Owner Field: Specify where the owner is marked (if using the owner-based action)

Save: Click "Save" to complete setup.
Result: Contacts enrolled in the workflow automatically receive SMS messages from JustCall.

Method 2: Using JustCall Campaigns
Setup Steps

Access Automation: Go to JustCall's text automation section.

Find HubSpot: Locate "HubSpot" under "SMS Workflows" in the sidebar.

Connect Account: Click "Connect" to authorize your HubSpot account, then refresh the page.

Create Campaign: Click "Get Started" to begin creating an automation campaign.

Name Campaign: Select a name for your template to aid identification and A/B testing.

Select Workflow Type: Choose between Contact-based or Deal-based workflow and click "Generate" to obtain a Template ID.
Contact-based workflows use contact properties (first name, last name); deal-based workflows use both contact and deal properties (deal amount, deal name, etc.)

Choose Sending Number: Select the JustCall number for outgoing messages and click "Save."

Select HubSpot Account: Choose the HubSpot account with workflows access and click "Save."

Compose Message: Type the SMS content for your customers.

Generate Campaign: Click "Create campaign" to receive a confirmation with your Template ID.

Return to HubSpot: Create or open an existing workflow.

Set Property:
- For contacts: Select "Set Contact Property Value"
- For deals: Select "Set Deal Property Value"
- Choose "JustCall Workflow ID" as the field

Enter Template ID: Paste the Template ID from Step 10 as the property value and click "Save."
Result: Every enrolled contact receives the configured message; status displays as active.
Additional Notes
- Create multiple campaigns with different enrollment criteria to target various contact groups
