JustCall Pipedream: Where Communication Meets Automation
Overview
Pipedream enables users to build automated workflows connecting various applications. These automations significantly reduce response times and boost productivity by handling tasks that would otherwise require manual effort.
Core Components
Workflows rely on two essential elements:
- Action: Specific tasks within an application (e.g., "Send Text Message" dispatches SMS to a contact)
- Trigger: A condition that initiates an action when met (e.g., "New Contact Created in HubSpot" automatically sends a text via JustCall)
Setup Steps
- Create Accounts - Establish accounts on both Pipedream and JustCall
- Create a Workflow - Navigate to Projects section in Pipedream and start a new workflow
- Add Trigger - Search for JustCall and select from available trigger options
- Connect JustCall - Click "Connect a JustCall account," retrieve API key and secret from Settings then Developers, paste credentials into Pipedream, and save
- Configure Trigger - Name the trigger, click "Create Source," execute a test event (e.g., send test SMS), and click "Continue"
- Add Action - Select an action app, connect it to Pipedream, and map JustCall trigger data to action inputs
- Test and Deploy - Verify workflow functionality and click "Deploy"
Available Triggers
- New Missed Call (Instant) - Initiates workflow when a call is missed; useful for autonomously creating follow-up activities or calendar events
- New Text Received (Instant) - Activates workflow upon receiving new messages; helpful for promptly creating CRM tasks
Available Actions
- Send Text Message - Dispatches SMS to contacts when workflow triggers; ideal for instant responses to demo requests or inquiry forms
- Create Contact (Sales Dialer) - Adds contacts to existing campaigns; automates lead incorporation from CRM into sales campaigns
