Manage SMS conversations in HappyFox with JustCall
Receive and respond to SMS and MMS messages directly from your HappyFox helpdesk. Incoming texts automatically create tickets, and all messages from a contact are threaded into a single conversation.
Available on: Team plan or higher
Set up the integration
In HappyFox
- Log in to your HappyFox account.
- Go to Tools, then Apps, and search for JustCall.
- Click Install.
- Open JustCall's Settings page and copy your API Key and API Secret.
- Paste both credentials into HappyFox.
- Set SMS as the default category.
- Click Save.
Configure contact and number mapping
After installation, complete these settings:

| Default Contact | Determines which contact a ticket is assigned to when multiple contacts share the same phone number. |
| Phone Number Mapping | Maps each JustCall phone number to a specific HappyFox category. This controls which numbers create tickets and where those tickets appear. |
How SMS works in HappyFox
Once configured, the integration handles your text conversations:
- Automatic ticket creation: Incoming SMS messages create a new ticket in your selected category.
- Threaded conversations: All messages from the same contact are grouped into a single ticket thread.
- MMS support: Attachments sent via MMS are preserved as ticket content.
- Reply from HappyFox: Respond to SMS messages directly from the helpdesk interface without switching to JustCall.
