Log text messages as custom activity types in Copper

By default, JustCall logs text messages as notes in Copper. Notes do not count as customer interactions, which means SMS activity stays invisible in your Copper analytics. Switch to custom activity types so every text counts.

Available on: Team plan or higher


Step 1: Create an activity type in Copper

  1. In Copper, go to Settings > Manage Activity Types.
  2. Click Create Activity Type.
  3. Name it something clear, such as "SMS" or "Text."
  4. Check Count as interactions so messages appear in your Copper analytics.
  5. Click Save.

Step 2: Map the activity type in JustCall

  1. In JustCall, go to Integrations and find Copper.
  2. Click the configure button to open advanced settings.
  3. Open the Workflow settings tab.
  4. Select the activity type you created in Copper from the dropdown.
  5. Click Save.

Result

All text messages sent and received through JustCall now log under your chosen activity type in Copper. They appear in interaction counts, timelines, and analytics reports.
