Run outbound campaigns3 min readUpdated 2026-03-14

The Power Dialer calls one contact at a time, in sequence, for a single agent. You see each contact's CRM data before the call connects, giving you time to prepare. This guide walks you through your first Power Dialer campaign.

Plan required: Pro ($49/user/mo) or above.

Step 1: Create a Campaign

  1. Go to Sales Dialer > Campaigns in the left sidebar.
  2. Click New Campaign.
  3. Select Power Dialer as the dialer type.
  4. Name your campaign something descriptive (e.g., "Q1 Follow-ups — West Coast").

Step 2: Add Contacts

Upload your contact list using one of these methods:

MethodHow
CSV uploadClick Upload CSV, map columns to fields (name, phone, company, etc.)
CRM importSelect your connected CRM, choose a list or saved view
Manual addEnter contacts individually from the campaign screen

Required field: phone number. All other fields are optional but improve CRM preview and script personalization.

Step 3: Configure Campaign Settings

  • Caller ID — Select the number prospects will see. Enable Local Presence Dialing to match their area code.
  • Voicemail Drop — Attach a pre-recorded voicemail for one-click drop when you reach voicemail.
  • Disposition Codes — Choose which codes agents use to categorize outcomes (connected, voicemail, no answer, etc.).
  • Reattempt Rules — Set automatic retry schedules for specific dispositions (e.g., retry "no answer" after 4 hours).
  • Sales Script — Assign a script that displays on-screen during calls with dynamic contact fields.
  • Auto-SMS — Configure a text message to send automatically after each call.
  • Calling Window — Set timezone-based hours to stay compliant.

Step 4: Start Dialing

  1. Click Start Campaign.
  2. The dialer loads the first contact's CRM preview.
  3. Review the contact details, then click Dial or let auto-dial connect.
  4. After each call, log a disposition and the dialer advances to the next contact.
  5. Use Pause to take a break or End Campaign to stop.

Tips for Your First Campaign

  • Start with a small list (50–100 contacts) to test your settings.
  • Record your voicemail drop message before launching.
  • Set dispositions that match your sales process so reattempt rules work correctly.
  • Review campaign analytics after completion to benchmark connect rates.
