Local Presence Dialing

Local Presence Dialing automatically displays a caller ID that matches the prospect's area code. Prospects are more likely to answer calls from local numbers, which can increase connect rates by 30–40% compared to toll-free or out-of-area numbers.
Available on: Pro plan ($49/user/mo) and above. Works with all three dialer types.
How It Works
- You enable Local Presence on a campaign or as an account-wide default.
- When the dialer calls a prospect, JustCall checks the prospect's area code.
- JustCall selects a number from your account that matches (or closely matches) that area code.
- The prospect sees a local number on their caller ID.
If no matching number exists in your account, JustCall falls back to your default caller ID.
Setting Up Local Presence
Account-Level Setup
- Go to Sales Dialer > Settings > Local Presence.
- Toggle Enable Local Presence on.
- Add numbers for the area codes you call most frequently. JustCall can provision numbers in bulk by area code.
Campaign-Level Setup
- Open a campaign (new or existing).
- In Caller ID settings, select Local Presence instead of a fixed number.
- JustCall will automatically rotate through matching numbers.
Number Coverage
For best results, maintain numbers covering your most-dialed regions:
| Region | Approach |
|---|---|
| US/Canada | Add numbers for your top 10–20 area codes by call volume. |
| UK | Use local geographic numbers (e.g., 020 for London, 0161 for Manchester). |
| Other countries | Check number availability in JustCall's number provisioning. |
You can view area code coverage gaps in Sales Dialer > Settings > Local Presence > Coverage Report.
Compliance Considerations
- Local Presence displays a real, dialable number. Prospects can call it back.
- Ensure all Local Presence numbers route to a team member or voicemail.
- Some jurisdictions require you to answer calls from numbers you display. Configure ring groups or IVR on your Local Presence numbers.
- Monitor number health regularly — high call volume from a single number can trigger spam flags.
Best Practices
- Pair Local Presence with Number Health Management to keep your numbers clean.
- Rotate numbers automatically rather than using one number per area code for all calls.
- Start with coverage for the top area codes in your contact list, then expand.
- Review connect rate analytics by area code to measure impact.
