Every Sales Dialer session starts with a campaign. A campaign defines your contact list, dialer type, caller ID, and call settings. This guide covers the general steps that apply to all three dialer types.

Before You Start

  • Choose your dialer type. See Choose the Right Sales Dialer if you are unsure which to use.
  • Prepare your contact list. Have a CSV file ready or a CRM list/view configured.
  • Select your caller ID number. Decide whether to use a fixed number or Local Presence Dialing.

Step-by-Step: Create a Campaign

1. Open the Campaign Builder

Navigate to Sales Dialer > Campaigns in the left sidebar. Click New Campaign.

2. Select Dialer Type

Choose one:

DialerPlan Required
Power DialerPro ($49/user/mo) and above
Dynamic DialerSalesPro ($249/user/mo)
Predictive DialerSalesPro ($249/user/mo)

3. Name Your Campaign

Use a descriptive name that includes the audience, date, or purpose (e.g., "March Renewals — Enterprise" or "Inbound Leads 03/12").

4. Upload Contacts

  • CSV upload: Click Upload CSV. Map columns to contact fields (phone number is required). See Uploading Contacts for formatting details.
  • CRM import: Select your connected CRM and choose a list, view, or segment.
  • Manual entry: Add contacts one at a time from the campaign screen.

5. Select Caller ID

Pick the outbound number prospects will see. Options:

  • Fixed number — Use a specific JustCall number.
  • Local Presence — Automatically match the prospect's area code (Pro plan and above).

6. Configure Campaign Settings

  • Voicemail Drop — Attach a pre-recorded voicemail message.
  • Disposition Codes — Select which outcome codes agents can log.
  • Reattempt Rules — Set automatic retry logic per disposition.
  • Sales Script — Assign an on-screen script with dynamic variables.
  • Auto-SMS — Define a post-call text message template.
  • Calling Window — Set timezone-based start/end hours.
  • Agent Assignment — For Dynamic and Predictive campaigns, assign multiple agents.
  • Max Calls Per Agent — For Predictive campaigns, set parallel dial lines (1–10).
  • AMD — For Predictive campaigns, toggle Answering Machine Detection.

7. Review and Launch

Review your settings on the summary screen. Click Start Campaign to begin dialing immediately, or Save as Draft to launch later.
