WhatsApp Integration Sign-Up Guide

The new WhatsApp sign-up flow (available since September 2024) simplifies the connection process — no manual webhook or token configuration required.


Prerequisites

  • Active JustCall account (Team plan or above).
  • A phone number eligible for WhatsApp Business (not already registered with WhatsApp).
  • A Meta Business account.

Sign-Up Steps

  1. Go to ChannelsWhatsApp in JustCall.
  2. Click Connect WhatsApp.
  3. Sign in with your Meta Business account when prompted.
  4. Select or create a WhatsApp Business Account.
  5. Choose the phone number to connect (from your JustCall numbers or a new number).
  6. Complete the verification (text message or voice call).
  7. Click Finish Setup.

JustCall handles webhook configuration and token management automatically.


After Setup

  • WhatsApp conversations appear alongside your SMS inbox.
  • Use WhatsApp template messages for outbound-initiated conversations (24-hour rule applies).
  • Customer-initiated conversations allow free-form messaging for 24 hours after their last message.
