Group Texting in SMS

Group Texting lets you add multiple contacts to a single SMS conversation — similar to a group chat. All participants see messages from everyone in the group.

Available on: All plans (paid add-on: $5/user/month)

Enable Group Texting

1. Go to SMS/MMS → Inbox.
2. Click the Group Texting tab.
3. Click Activate now.
4. Confirm — $5/user/month is added to your billing.

Create a Group

1. After activation, click Create Group in the Group Texting tab.
2. Add contacts (up to 9 plus yourself — 10 total participants).
3. Select the JustCall number to send from (must be MMS-capable).
4. Name the group and click Create.

Access Group Messages

Group conversations appear in the Group Texting tab within SMS/MMS.

Limitations

• US and Canada only. Group texting is not available for international numbers.
• Maximum 10 participants (you plus 9 others).
• Requires MMS-capable numbers. Group texts are sent as MMS, not SMS.
• Recipients must support group MMS on their device (most modern phones do).
• Charged at MMS rates per message, per recipient.
• No MMS attachments in group threads. To share media, use a public URL instead.
• Only groups created in JustCall appear as group conversations — groups initiated by external contacts are not recognized.
