Set Up JustCall Email Inbox
Connect your email account to JustCall so incoming emails appear in your unified inbox. Setup takes a few minutes and works with Gmail, Outlook, and any provider that supports IMAP/SMTP.
Available on: Premium and Custom plans
Supported providers
| Provider | Connection method |
|---|---|
| Gmail / Google Workspace | OAuth (one-click authorization) |
| Outlook / Microsoft 365 | OAuth (one-click authorization) |
| Custom email (IMAP/SMTP) | Manual server configuration |
Connect Gmail or Google Workspace
- Go to the JustCall dashboard and navigate to Settings > Email Inbox
- Click Connect Email Account
- Select Gmail / Google Workspace
- Click Authorize with Google
- Sign in to your Google account and grant JustCall permission to read and send emails
- Once authorized, your inbox syncs and recent emails begin appearing in JustCall
JustCall requests only the permissions needed to read incoming mail and send replies on your behalf.
Connect Outlook or Microsoft 365
- Go to Settings > Email Inbox on the JustCall dashboard
- Click Connect Email Account
- Select Outlook / Microsoft 365
- Click Authorize with Microsoft
- Sign in to your Microsoft account and approve the permission request
- Your Outlook inbox syncs with JustCall
Connect a custom email account (IMAP/SMTP)
For email providers that do not support OAuth, use manual configuration:
- Go to Settings > Email Inbox > Connect Email Account
- Select Other (IMAP/SMTP)
- Enter your IMAP settings:
- IMAP server — e.g., imap.yourprovider.com
- Port — typically 993 (SSL) or 143 (STARTTLS)
- Username — your full email address
- Password — your email password or app-specific password
- Enter your SMTP settings:
- SMTP server — e.g., smtp.yourprovider.com
- Port — typically 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS)
- Username and Password — same as IMAP or as specified by your provider
- Click Test Connection to verify both IMAP and SMTP work
- Click Save to complete the setup
If your provider requires an app-specific password (common with two-factor authentication), generate one from your email provider's security settings.
Verify the connection
After connecting, send a test email to your connected address from an external account. The email should appear in JustCall's Email Inbox within a minute. If it does not appear, check your connection settings and ensure your email provider has not blocked the connection.
