Toll-free number verification can be rejected for various reasons. Some rejections allow resubmission after fixing the issue. Others are permanent.

Fixable — eligible for resubmission

These rejections can be resolved by correcting the issue and resubmitting:

  • Missing age gate for alcohol-related content
  • Public URL shorteners used in messaging
  • Non-secured URLs (must use HTTPS)
  • Cannot verify business information
  • Cannot validate the provided URL
  • Insufficient opt-in documentation
  • Missing consent language
  • No opt-in mechanism provided
  • Opt-in shared with third parties
  • Single number used for multiple businesses
  • More than 5 numbers requested without justification

Permanent — ineligible for resubmission

These categories are permanently rejected and cannot be resubmitted:

  • SHAFT categories: Sex, Hate speech, Firearms, Tobacco/Vape, CBD/Marijuana
  • Loan marketing
  • Debt collection
  • Gambling
  • Sweepstakes
  • Stock alerts
  • Cryptocurrency
  • Credit repair
  • Third-party lead generation
  • Known spam, phishing, or fraud

What to do if rejected

For fixable rejections, review the specific reason provided, correct the issue, and resubmit your verification request. If you believe a rejection was made in error, contact JustCall support.
