Set a Default SMS Number
When you start a new SMS conversation, JustCall uses your default SMS number as the sender. Set this to ensure outbound messages come from the right number — especially if you have multiple numbers assigned.
How to Set Your Default SMS Number
- Go to Settings → Phone Numbers.
- Find the number you want as your default.
- Click the number's settings (gear icon).
- Enable Set as default SMS number.
- Save changes.
Alternatively:
- Go to SMS/MMS → Settings.
- Under Default Outbound Number, select your preferred number from the dropdown.
- Click Save.
How the Default Works
- The default number is used when you start a new conversation from the SMS inbox.
- If you reply to an existing conversation, JustCall uses the number the customer originally messaged — not your default.
- Each team member can have their own default SMS number if they have dedicated numbers assigned.
