How to Set a Default Number for Making Outbound Calls
If you have multiple JustCall numbers, you can set one as your default for outbound calls. This saves time — you will not need to select a number from the dropdown every time you dial.
Available on: All plans
Set your default outbound number
- Go to Settings in the left sidebar
- Select My Call Settings (or Call Preferences)
- Under Default Outbound Number, select the number you want to use by default
- Save changes
From now on, the dialer pre-selects this number when you make a call. You can still switch to a different number before dialing — the default just sets your starting point.
When to set a default number
- You have one main number — set it as default so you never need to think about it
- You handle different types of calls — set your most-used number as default and switch manually for exceptions
- Your team shares numbers — each team member can set their own default, even on a shared number
Default number and CRM click-to-call
When you click a phone number in your CRM to launch a call, JustCall uses your default outbound number as the caller ID. If you need to call from a specific number, change it in the dialer before the call connects.
