What Are JustCall Workflows?

Every missed follow-up is a missed opportunity. JustCall Workflows let you automate the repetitive actions your team does after every call, text, or voicemail — so nothing falls through the cracks.

How Workflows Work

Every workflow follows a three-part model:

  1. Trigger — The event that starts the workflow, such as a completed call, a received SMS, or a new voicemail.
  2. Condition — Optional filters that narrow when the workflow should run, like specific business hours, agent groups, or disposition codes.
  3. Action — What happens automatically: send an SMS, create a CRM record, notify a Slack channel, and more.

You can chain multiple conditions and actions within a single workflow to handle complex scenarios without writing code.

What You Can Automate

  • Send a follow-up text within seconds of a missed call.
  • Log call details and notes into your CRM automatically.
  • Alert your team on Slack when a high-priority voicemail arrives.
  • Tag and route contacts based on SMS keywords.
  • Trigger email summaries after completed calls.

Plan Requirements

Workflows are available on the Pro plan and above. The number of active workflows you can run depends on your plan tier:

Getting Started

  1. Navigate to Settings → Workflows in your JustCall dashboard.
  2. Click Create Workflow to start from scratch, or pick a pre-built template.
  3. Choose your trigger, add conditions, and define one or more actions.
  4. Test the workflow, then toggle it live.

Workflows turn your phone system into an automation engine. Set them up once, and let JustCall handle the follow-through.
