As you type a message, the AI analyzes your tone in real time and provides feedback across five dimensions:

  • Empathy — does the message acknowledge the customer's situation?
  • Professionalism — is the language appropriate for a business conversation?
  • Engagement — does the message invite a response or move the conversation forward?
  • Confidence — does the message sound assured and clear?
  • Urgency — does the message convey the right level of priority?

These nudges appear while you compose. They help you catch tone issues before the customer reads your message.

Turn nudge alerts on or off

You can disable live nudge alerts and still use the rephrasing feature. Disabling nudges stops the live feedback while you type but keeps the manual rephrasing tool available.


Rephrase a Message

Already have a draft but want to adjust its tone? Use the rephrasing tool to restructure your message without changing its meaning.

  1. Type your message in the compose field. Messages of 160 characters or more get the most effective analysis.
  2. Click the AI Assist icon in the compose area to open the rephrasing modal.
  3. Select your preferred tone from the dropdown. The AI remembers your last-used tone as the default.
  4. Review the AI-generated suggestion.
  5. Click Use this text to replace your original message, or click Regenerate to get a different version.
  6. Edit the message if needed, then send.

To close the modal without making changes, click outside of it.

Tips for better rephrasing results

Write at least 160 characters. The AI models used for tone analysis and rephrasing work best with messages that are 160 characters or more. Shorter messages get less effective analysis.

Try regenerating. If the first suggestion does not match what you need, click Regenerate for a fresh version using the same tone setting.

Send feedback. Use the three-dot menu in the rephrasing modal to share feedback on suggestion quality.
