Automated Out-of-Office SMS

Link your out-of-office auto-reply to your business hours schedule so it activates and deactivates automatically — no manual toggling required.


Set Up Automated Out-of-Office

  1. First, configure your business hours under SettingsPhone Numbers → select a number → Business Hours.
  2. Go to SettingsSMS/MMSOut of Office.
  3. Toggle Enable out-of-office auto-reply.
  4. Select Use business hours schedule instead of manual on/off.
  5. Enter your auto-reply message.
  6. Click Save.

The auto-reply now activates outside your configured business hours and deactivates when business hours begin.


Customizing the Message

Include relevant details in your auto-reply:

  • When the team will be back (reference your business hours).
  • Alternative contact methods for urgent matters.
  • A link to self-service resources (help center, FAQ page).

The auto-reply sends once per contact per out-of-office period.
