Automated Out-of-Office SMS
Link your out-of-office auto-reply to your business hours schedule so it activates and deactivates automatically — no manual toggling required.
Set Up Automated Out-of-Office
- First, configure your business hours under Settings → Phone Numbers → select a number → Business Hours.
- Go to Settings → SMS/MMS → Out of Office.
- Toggle Enable out-of-office auto-reply.
- Select Use business hours schedule instead of manual on/off.
- Enter your auto-reply message.
- Click Save.
The auto-reply now activates outside your configured business hours and deactivates when business hours begin.
Customizing the Message
Include relevant details in your auto-reply:
- When the team will be back (reference your business hours).
- Alternative contact methods for urgent matters.
- A link to self-service resources (help center, FAQ page).
The auto-reply sends once per contact per out-of-office period.
