AI Smart Replies generates 2-3 response suggestions based on your conversation history. Review, edit if needed, and send. The AI drafts; you decide.

How AI Smart Replies Works

When you open a conversation, JustCall AI analyzes the message history and generates 2-3 suggested responses. These suggestions appear in the compose area.

  1. Open a conversation that needs a reply. Use the Unread filter to find conversations with new messages.
  2. Review the AI suggestions. JustCall displays 2-3 contextual replies based on the conversation history.
  3. Click a suggestion to load it into the compose field.
  4. Edit the message if needed. The suggestion is a starting point, not a final draft.
  5. Send.
  6. Close the conversation if it is resolved. The conversation moves out of your active inbox. If the customer texts back, it reopens automatically.

Using Smart Replies in Your Inbox Workflow

AI Smart Replies work best as part of the managed inbox workflow:

  1. Filter by Unread to see conversations with new messages.
  2. Open the first conversation.
  3. Review the AI suggestion. Edit if needed.
  4. Send the reply.
  5. Close the conversation if resolved.
  6. Move to the next conversation that needs a reply.

This workflow lets you clear your reply queue quickly without sacrificing quality. The AI handles the first draft; you handle the judgment.


Other AI Features in SMS

AI Smart Replies is available on all plans. JustCall also offers AI rephrasing and tone analysis for messages you draft yourself. These features require the AI add-on.

  • Smart Replies generates complete response suggestions from conversation context. You pick one and send.
  • AI Rephrasing and Tone Analysis reviews a message you have already written and suggests adjustments to tone or phrasing. It does not generate new responses.

Smart Replies helps you start fast. Rephrasing and tone analysis help you polish before you send.


Regenerate Suggestions

If the initial suggestions do not fit, click the regenerate icon. The AI generates a fresh set based on the same conversation context.


Tips

Use Smart Replies for speed, not autopilot. Suggestions are contextual and often accurate, but always read before sending. You know your customer better than the AI does.

Combine with the Unread filter. Filter your inbox to Unread, then use Smart Replies to work through new messages quickly.

Edit freely. Click a suggestion to load it into the compose field, then edit as needed. The suggestion is a starting point.
