Setting Up from a Template

  1. Go to Dashboard > AI Voice Agent > Create Agent.
  2. Select From Template.
  3. Browse templates by industry or use case.
  4. Select a template and click Use Template.
  5. Customize for your business:
    • Agent name — rename to match your team's naming convention
    • Phone number — assign a JustCall number
    • Business details — update the role description with your company name, hours, and specifics
    • Knowledge base — add your own content (URLs, files, Q&A pairs)
    • Actions — configure transfer numbers, calendar integrations, and SMS templates
  6. Click Create to save.
  7. Toggle the agent to Enabled and test with a call.

What You Should Always Customize

Templates work out of the box for testing, but customize these before going live:

  • Business name and details in the agent role — the template uses placeholder names
  • Transfer numbers — update to your actual team or department numbers
  • Knowledge base content — add your own FAQs, product information, and policies
  • Greeting — personalize the opening line for your brand

Editing After Creation

Template-created agents are identical to agents built from scratch. Every setting is editable on the same tabs (Behavior, Call Flow, Voice, Knowledge Base, Actions, Advanced Settings).
