Access WhatsApp Conversations from the JustCall Mobile App
View and reply to WhatsApp messages from the JustCall mobile app. Your team's WhatsApp conversations live alongside calls and SMS in one unified inbox, so you can respond to customers on their preferred channel without switching apps.

View WhatsApp conversations
- Open the JustCall app and tap the Messages tab
- WhatsApp conversations appear alongside SMS threads, marked with a WhatsApp icon
- Tap a conversation to view the full message history
Conversations show the contact name, last message preview, and timestamp. Unread messages are highlighted.
Reply to a WhatsApp message
- Open a WhatsApp conversation
- Type your reply in the message input field
- Tap Send
Replies are delivered through the WhatsApp Business API. The customer sees your response in their WhatsApp app as a message from your verified business account.
Note: WhatsApp has a 24-hour messaging window. You can send free-form replies within 24 hours of the customer's last message. After 24 hours, you must use an approved template message to re-open the conversation.
Send template messages
When the 24-hour window has closed or you need to initiate a conversation:
- Open the WhatsApp conversation (or start a new one)
- Tap the Templates icon in the message input area
- Browse or search your approved WhatsApp templates
- Select a template and fill in any required variables (such as customer name or order number)
- Tap Send
Templates must be pre-approved through your WhatsApp Business account. You create and submit templates on the JustCall web dashboard.
Start a new WhatsApp conversation
- From the Messages tab, tap the New Message icon
- Enter the recipient's phone number
- Select WhatsApp as the channel
- Choose an approved template to initiate the conversation
- Send the template message
The customer receives the message in their WhatsApp app. Once they reply, the 24-hour free-form messaging window opens.
Notifications for WhatsApp messages
WhatsApp message notifications follow your existing notification settings. If SMS alerts are enabled, you receive push notifications for incoming WhatsApp messages as well. Configure notification preferences in Settings > Notifications.
