Troubleshoot Common JustCall Mobile App Issues
If the JustCall mobile app is not working as expected, walk through these fixes for the most common problems. Most issues resolve with a quick settings check.
Applies to: iOS and Android
No incoming call notifications
Symptoms: Calls go straight to voicemail; your phone never rings.
- Confirm your agent status is set to Available in the JustCall app
- Check that push notifications are enabled: iOS — Settings > Notifications > JustCall; Android — Settings > Apps > JustCall > Notifications
- On Android, exclude JustCall from battery optimization (Settings > Battery > JustCall > Unrestricted)
- On Samsung devices, remove JustCall from Sleeping Apps under Device Care > Battery
- Force-close the app and reopen it to re-establish the push notification connection
- Restart your phone if the issue persists
Poor call quality
Symptoms: Choppy audio, echo, one-way audio, or dropped calls.
- Switch to a strong Wi-Fi network if you are on cellular data
- If on Wi-Fi, move closer to your router or switch to a less congested network
- Close other apps that use bandwidth (video streaming, large downloads)
- Ensure your phone's microphone is not blocked by a case or your hand
- Test with headphones or earbuds to isolate the issue
- If audio is one-way, check that microphone permission is granted to JustCall
Cannot log in
Symptoms: Login screen shows an error or spins indefinitely.
- Verify your email and password are correct — try logging in on the web dashboard to confirm
- Check your internet connection by opening a web page in your browser
- Clear the JustCall app cache: Android — Settings > Apps > JustCall > Storage > Clear Cache; iOS — delete and reinstall the app
- Update to the latest version of the app from the App Store or Play Store
- If your account uses SSO, confirm with your IT team that SSO is configured correctly
App crashes on launch
- Update the app to the latest version
- Restart your phone
- On Android, clear the app cache (Settings > Apps > JustCall > Storage > Clear Cache)
- On iOS, delete and reinstall the app
- Ensure your phone meets the minimum OS requirement (iOS 15+ / Android 8.0+)
Battery drain
JustCall keeps a background connection for push notifications, which uses minimal battery. If you notice excessive drain:
- Check that battery optimization is set to Unrestricted (not fully disabled)
- Avoid keeping the app in the foreground when not in use — minimize it
- Disable location services for JustCall if enabled (not required for core functionality)
- Update to the latest app version, which may include battery optimizations
