Set Availability Status from the JustCall Mobile App

Control when calls reach your device by setting your availability status. Your status syncs across mobile, desktop, and web — change it on one device and it updates everywhere.

Available on: All plans

Status options

StatusWhat happens
AvailableIncoming calls ring on your device according to your routing rules
AwayCalls skip your device and go to the next available agent in your ring group or to voicemail
Do Not DisturbAll calls and notifications are silenced on your device; calls route to other agents or voicemail

Change your status

  1. Open the JustCall app
  2. Tap your profile icon or avatar in the top corner
  3. Tap your current status
  4. Select Available, Away, or Do Not Disturb

The status change takes effect immediately. Your team members and admins can see your current status on the JustCall dashboard.

How status affects call routing

Your availability status directly impacts how JustCall routes incoming calls:

  • Available agents receive calls — the system includes you in the routing queue for your assigned numbers and ring groups
  • Away and DND agents are skipped — the system treats you as unavailable and routes calls to other team members or fallback rules
  • If all agents are unavailable — calls go to voicemail or follow your team's after-hours routing configuration

Setting yourself to Away or DND does not affect your ability to make outbound calls. You can still dial out regardless of your status.

Status syncs across devices

When you set your status on mobile, it updates on your desktop app and web dashboard within seconds. The reverse is also true — if a colleague changes your status from the admin dashboard, your mobile app reflects the change.

This means you only need to update your status once, on whichever device is convenient.

Auto-status with business hours

If your admin has configured business hours for your account, your status can automatically switch to Away outside those hours. See Configure Mobile Notifications for setting up business hours auto-mute, which works together with auto-status.
