Send and Receive SMS from the JustCall Mobile App

Read and reply to customer text messages from your phone. Conversations stay in sync across mobile, desktop, and web — so you can start a thread on your laptop and continue it from the road without missing context.

Available on: All plans with SMS enabled

View conversations

  1. Open the JustCall app and tap the Messages tab
  2. Your SMS conversations appear in reverse chronological order
  3. Tap any conversation to view the full message thread

Each conversation shows the contact name (or phone number), the last message preview, timestamp, and an unread indicator for new messages.

Compose a new message

  1. From the Messages tab, tap the New Message icon (pencil icon)
  2. Enter the recipient's phone number or search for an existing contact
  3. Select the JustCall number you want to send from
  4. Type your message and tap Send

Your message sends from your selected JustCall number. The recipient sees your business number, not your personal mobile number.

Reply to a conversation

  1. Tap an existing conversation
  2. Type your reply in the message input field at the bottom
  3. Tap Send

Replies go from the same JustCall number that the original conversation is associated with. You can also send images and attachments where MMS is supported.

Use SMS templates

Save time on repetitive messages by using templates:

  1. In the message input field, tap the Templates icon
  2. Browse or search your saved templates
  3. Tap a template to insert it into the message field
  4. Edit the text if needed, then tap Send

Templates are shared across mobile and desktop. Any templates created on the web dashboard are available in the mobile app.

SMS notifications

When a new text message arrives, you receive a push notification with a preview of the message. Tap the notification to jump directly into the conversation. Configure which SMS notifications you receive in the app's Settings > Notifications.
