Set Up Rippling SSO for JustCall

Rippling SSO lets your team access JustCall directly from the Rippling platform. Because Rippling handles both identity management and HR, you get the added benefit of automatic provisioning and deprovisioning when employees join or leave. SSO is available on the Business plan.

Prerequisites

  • JustCall Business plan
  • Rippling admin access (Super Admin or IT Admin role)
  • A verified email domain in JustCall

Step 1: Enable SSO in JustCall

  1. Go to Settings → Security → Single Sign-On in JustCall.
  2. Click Enable SSO and select SAML 2.0.
  3. Copy the ACS URL and Entity ID.

Step 2: Add JustCall from the Rippling App Directory

  1. Log into Rippling.
  2. Go to IT Management → Apps → App Shop.
  3. Search for JustCall. If JustCall appears in the directory, click Install and follow the guided setup (Rippling pre-fills most SAML settings).
  4. If JustCall is not listed, click Add Custom App and select SAML as the sign-on method.

Step 3: Configure SAML (Custom App Setup)

If using the custom app path:

  1. Enter a Display Name of JustCall.

  2. Configure SAML settings:

    FieldValue
ACS URLPaste the ACS URL from JustCall
Entity IDPaste the Entity ID from JustCall
    Name ID FormatEmail Address
  3. Add attribute mappings:

    Attribute NameRippling Field
    emailWork Email
    firstNameFirst Name
    lastNameLast Name
  4. Click Save.

Step 4: Copy Rippling Identity Provider Details

  1. In the JustCall app settings within Rippling, go to the SSO or SAML Configuration section.
  2. Copy:
    • SSO URL (Identity Provider Login URL)
    • Issuer (Identity Provider Entity ID)
  3. Download the X.509 Certificate.

Step 5: Complete Configuration in JustCall

  1. Return to Settings → Security → Single Sign-On in JustCall.
  2. Enter:
    • SSO URL: from Rippling
    • Issuer / Entity ID: from Rippling
    • Certificate: Upload the X.509 certificate
  3. Set the Default Role for new SSO users.
  4. Click Save Configuration.
  5. Click Test Connection.

Step 6: Assign Employees

  1. In Rippling, go to the JustCall app.
  2. Click Manage Access or Assign Employees.
  3. Select individual employees, departments, or Rippling groups.
  4. Click Save.

Rippling automatically provisions new employees assigned to the app and deprovisions employees when they are offboarded or removed from the group.

Automatic Provisioning and Deprovisioning

One of Rippling's strengths is lifecycle management. When you assign JustCall in Rippling:

  • New hire starts: Rippling creates their JustCall account on their start date.
  • Employee offboarded: Rippling deactivates their JustCall account, revoking access immediately.
  • Department change: If access is department-based, Rippling adjusts automatically.

This eliminates manual user management in JustCall for most organizations.
