JustCall Workspace (Deprecated)
JustCall Workspace (Deprecated)
JustCall Workspace was an internal team messaging feature that allowed team members to chat with each other directly inside the JustCall dashboard. Workspace never left Beta and has been deprecated. It is no longer available for any accounts.
What Workspace was
Workspace provided:
- Direct messages between team members
- Group channels for teams or departments
- File sharing within conversations
- Message search
The feature was designed to reduce the need for a separate team chat tool. However, it remained in Beta and did not reach the level of reliability and feature completeness needed for general availability.
Why it was deprecated
JustCall decided to focus on core strengths — calling, SMS, and AI — rather than competing with dedicated team messaging platforms. Most JustCall customers already use Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Google Chat for internal communication.
What happened to Workspace data
All Workspace messages and files were accessible for 90 days after deprecation. That window has now closed. If you exported your Workspace data during the transition period, you have those files. Otherwise, the data is no longer available.
Alternatives for team communication
Slack integration
Connect JustCall to Slack to receive call and SMS notifications in your Slack channels. Your team can discuss calls and coordinate follow-ups without leaving Slack.
Set up the integration under Settings > Integrations > Slack.
Team management features
JustCall still provides team coordination tools that do not require a separate chat feature:
- Call notes and mentions — Tag a teammate in a call note to get their attention
- Conversation assignments — Assign an SMS conversation to a specific team member
- Notification Center — See assignments and mentions in one place
