How to Choose Which Number Sends Your SMS Messages
When you manage multiple JustCall numbers, you don't want to pick a number every time you send a text. Set a default SMS number once, and every outbound message uses that number automatically. Need to work from a different number? Switch in the SMS Inbox without changing your default.

Set your default SMS number
Your default SMS number is the number JustCall uses whenever you send an outbound text from the web or desktop app. Set it once and forget it until you need to change it.
How to set your default
- Log in to your JustCall account.
- Open Settings from the main navigation.
- Find the SMS or Dialer settings section and locate the default number option.
- Select the number you want to use as your default.
- Click Save.
Every outbound SMS you send from the web and desktop apps now uses this number.
Note: The exact location of this setting within your Settings menu may have changed. If you don't see it in the path described above, check your account's Settings menu and look for "Default number" or "SMS settings." The option is in the settings area, not inside the SMS Inbox itself.
Select your preferred number and click Save to set it as your default for outbound SMS.
What the default applies to

Switch numbers in the SMS Inbox
Your default number controls what happens when you compose a new message. But when you're working inside the SMS Inbox, you can view and respond to conversations for any of your JustCall numbers without changing your default.
How to switch numbers
- Open the SMS Inbox.
- Click the phone number selector at the top of the conversation list.
- Select the number whose conversations you want to view.
The conversation list updates to show only conversations for the selected number. Search results are also scoped to this number's inbox.
Select a JustCall number to view its conversations in the SMS Inbox.
To switch back, open the dropdown again and select a different number.
