Team Caller ID
Team Caller ID
Caller ID determines what number your customers see when your team calls them. Configuring it correctly builds trust, improves answer rates, and keeps your branding consistent.
How caller ID works in JustCall
When an agent makes an outbound call, JustCall displays a caller ID number to the recipient. You control which number is shown at three levels — per agent, per group, or per number — depending on how your team is organized.
Per-agent caller ID
Assign a specific outbound number to an individual agent:
- Go to Settings → Team Members.
- Click on the agent's name.
- Under Outbound Caller ID, select a number from the dropdown.
- Click Save Changes.
Every outbound call that agent makes will display the selected number, regardless of which JustCall number they dial from.
Per-group caller ID
Set a single outbound number for an entire user group:
- Go to Settings → User Groups.
- Open the group and click the Settings tab.
- Under Outbound Caller ID, select a number.
- Click Save.
Group-level caller ID applies to all members of that group. If an agent also has a per-agent caller ID set, the agent-level setting takes priority.
Shared number pools
For sales teams doing high-volume outreach, shared number pools rotate through multiple outbound numbers automatically. This helps distribute call volume and reduces the risk of numbers being flagged as spam.
- Go to Settings → Number Pools.
- Click Create Pool and add the numbers you want to include.
- Choose a rotation strategy: round-robin or random.
- Assign the pool to a user group or individual agents.
When an agent makes a call, JustCall picks the next number in the pool and uses it as the caller ID.
Caller ID priority order
JustCall resolves outbound caller ID in this order:
- Number pool assigned to the agent or group (if active).
- Per-agent caller ID setting.
- Per-group caller ID setting.
- Default number — the number the agent is dialing from.
Verify your numbers
Carriers may block or label calls from unverified numbers. Make sure every number you use for outbound caller ID is verified in JustCall under Settings → Phone Numbers → Verification Status.
