Step 1: Check extension version

  1. Go to chrome://extensions/.
  2. Find JustCall and note the version number.
  3. Compare with the latest version in the Chrome Web Store.
  4. If outdated, click Update (or enable auto-updates in Chrome).

JustCall requires Chrome version 90 or later. Check your browser version at chrome://version.

Step 2: Verify permissions

The extension needs specific permissions to work correctly:

  1. Click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar.
  2. Click the three dots next to JustCall > Manage Extension.
  3. Under Site access, select On all sites for full click-to-call functionality, or add specific sites where you want number detection.
  4. Confirm that Allow in incognito is enabled if you use incognito mode.

Step 3: Check for extension conflicts

Other extensions — especially ad blockers, privacy tools, and competing VoIP extensions — can interfere with JustCall.

  1. Go to chrome://extensions/.
  2. Disable all other extensions.
  3. Reload the page you were testing on.
  4. If JustCall works, re-enable extensions one at a time to identify the conflict.

Known conflict categories:

  • Ad blockers that block WebRTC connections
  • Other click-to-call extensions (RingCentral, Dialpad, Aircall)
  • Privacy extensions that restrict site access

Step 4: Reinstall the extension

If the above steps do not resolve the issue:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions/.
  2. Click Remove on the JustCall extension.
  3. Restart Chrome.
  4. Go to the Chrome Web Store and search for "JustCall."
  5. Click Add to Chrome.
  6. Log in to the extension with your JustCall credentials.
  7. Grant microphone and notification permissions when prompted.
